Jodi L. Berg ('88)

Jodi Berg, who earned a BS in Business Administration with a specialization in hospitality management from Bowling Green State University, is President & CEO, Vitamix Corporation located in Cleveland, Ohio. The Vitamix Corporation is an award-winning innovator in blending technology. The privately owned company produces high performance equipment directly to the consumer market and foodservice industries.

Jodi followed her passion for working with people by joining the hospitality management program. In her senior year, she landed a position in sales with Marriott International.

Later she went on to get her MBA and took courses in quality management. After graduation, she combined her two passions of hospitality and quality becoming Director of Quality for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. Part of her responsibility was to speak on behalf of The Ritz-Carlton and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recognizing organizations for performance excellence. This role took her overseas where she discovered yet another passion – interacting with people and cultures around the world.

In 1997, all three of her passions came together in a way that set the course for where she is today. She was asked to take the company that her great-grandfather founded in 1921 global. Vitamix finished 2010 with more than $36 million in sales outside the U.S. distributing to over 70 countries.
