Project Opportunities

Our Alternative Teacher Training Program (ATTP) is a one year, all online program just for our selected Noyce Recipients. Students receive:

  • Approximately a $20,000 stipend (to be used toward tuition, fees, living expenses)
  • Monthly conferencing with their BGSU Faculty STEM Instructional Mentor
  • Semester conferencing with their STEM Teacher Mentor from Washington Local Schools
  • Extra Course in STEM Assessment
  • Extra Course in Practicum & Field Experiences (Mursion, ATLAS, GoReact)
  • Three Seminars:  Pedagogical Knowledge, Relevant Cultural Competence & Professional Dispositions
  • Opportunities of Math Camps, CFE workshops, Noyce Regional Conference, etc.
  • Travel help of $500 toward a conference
  • One cohort student funded each year to attend the national meeting in DC in July
  • Online Learning Community Networking
  • BGSU's assistance with school placement
  • One-on-One Mentoring with their BGSU Faculty STEM Instructional Mentor during summer and first year of teaching
  • Program completion prior to entering a teaching position
