Artist's Statement

    My BFA thesis project focuses on how family is complicated and statements often spoken may not match facts. As visualized through A narrative voice over tells the story of discovering the truth behind my family history. I chose this subject matter because it is something I have wondered about for a big portion of my life. The sources for this work were physical pieces of my family history including pictures. The inspiration for these pieces was my desire to learn as much history as I can while also finding out more about my heritage.
