[This course aims to enhance students’ understanding of Korean culture and language by examining key social, historical, and cultural events and issues portrayed in Korean popular culture (K-Film, K-pop, & K-Drama). Students will also learn to identify characteristics of Korean language on a basic level and enhance communicative ability in the context of Korean culture. The course provides students with skills and knowledge to better understand and evaluate many important issues in contemporary Korea. By doing so, students will learn to reflect critically on various contemporary issues in and around Korea.]
POLS 4600: Politics and Issues of World Development (Mon/Wed - 4:30-5:45pm)
[The course seeks to understand the economic, social, and political development process in the States traditionally considered developing countries, also referred to as low- or middle-income countries, and how to solve these challenges. It is ideal for students interested in the international nonprofit and humanitarian sector, global politics, Asia, foreign affairs, and diplomacy.]
