BGSU Faculty and Staff Free One-Month SRC Membership
In partnership with the Office of the President and the Office of Human Resources, the Office of Recreation is pleased to offer a free one-month membership to the Student Recreation Center (SRC) and group exercise classes to BGSU faculty, staff and graduate assistants under contract. We look forward to introducing first-time participants to our facilities and programs and assisting returning members on their well-being journey.
- Membership valid for all BGSU faculty, staff and graduate assistants under contract.
Full-time grad students under contract that want to participate in Group Exercise Classes need to contact Julia Adams (jthatch@bgsu) directly for enrollment.
- This pass is a one-time offer for any month of the year (January - December 2024).
- Employee will choose which month and day (January - December 2024) to redeem their free month pass.
- Pass is valid 30 days from the day of redemption.
- Membership includes Group Exercise Classes.
- BGSU parking permit is not included.
- Employees who have a valid faculty/staff parking permit can park in lots 10 (Slater Family Ice Arena) and 16 (Moore Musical Arts Center).
- Day parking is available by purchasing a permit from the kiosk located in lot X.
To register, follow the steps or view the video below for instructions.
- Select 'Sign In' in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select 'BGSU MYREC LOGIN'.
- Login using BGSU credentials (dual-factor authentication is required).
- Select the 'Memberships and Passes' icon.
- Select 'BGSU Faculty and Staff Free Month'.
- Select the orange duration and price bar on the Membership Summary screen.
- Review membership details and 'Add To Cart'. At this point a $45 price appears which is removed when applying the promo code in the next step.
- Read and sign both General and Liability waivers.
- Select 'Save' and 'Sign Now' for each waiver.
- Apply promo code "Falcons" in the shopping cart. Promo code is case sensitive.
- To finish registering, select 'Checkout' from both the 'Shopping Cart' and 'Proceed To Checkout' screens.
- When registration is complete, registrant will receive an email receipt from recwell@recwell.bgsu.edu.

Membership to the SRC includes access to all weight and cardio equipment, an Olympic and warm water leisure pool, sport and activity courts (racquetball, handball, squash, badminton, pickleball, wallyball, basketball, soccer, table tennis, etc), an indoor track, sauna, hot tub, locker rooms, and free equipment check-out.

The offer is available as part of the employee benefits package on January 1, 2024 and continues as a one-time offer throughout the entire calendar year.

No, the membership is valid for 30 days from the day of redemption, which can be any day of any month throughout the year.
A complimentary 30-day extension will be added to your existing Student Recreation Center membership.

Once you have registered for the complimentary pass in-person or online via the portal, employees can enter from either the main entrance off Ridge Street or the secondary entrance adjacent to lot X off of Mercer Road.
Employees who have not registered online need to enter the facility from the front entrance to register in-person at the Welcome Desk.

Yes – the SRC is open to the public. Spouses/partners and dependents must purchase memberships to access the facility.
This price initially displays when selecting the Complimentary BGSU Employee Month Pass. It is removed when completing the subsequent steps in the registration process and using the promo code Falcons.
There are generally fewer people using the SRC in the early morning, lunch, and late evening timeframes.
Faculty/staff can see how busy the building is at any time by visiting the Live Counts Page or by downloading the RecWell app. These counts are also displayed on the BGSU app in the RecWell section.
Yes! We have certified personal trainers available that are happy to provide education on how to safely and effectively use our exercise equipment.
