The past year challenged us, but we embraced our role as a 21st-century public university for the public good and launched FORWARD., a guiding strategy defined by action. We've identified 21 moments during 2020-21 that moved us forward and will continue to make us better. Each of these moments, or actions, are positioning Bowling Green State University and our students for success.

Moment No. 11 – we can have fun. When the global pandemic called for physical distancing, BGSU found new ways to safely stay social. With a focus on outdoor activities, the University introduced new events to bring students together, creating a new path of Falcon fun.

In celebration of the start of the spring semester, BGSU created Winter Wonderland, a new, outdoor event for students to get together with friends, meet new people and have fun safely. There were train rides, virtual reality activities, an iceless ice rink, heated tents, hot chocolate, cookie decorating and more.

The University again transformed the Bowen-Thompson Quadrangle for the Shamrock Social in March, an outdoor event with free food and activities to create a safe environment for students to gather and have fun.
