The past year challenged us, but we embraced our role as a 21st-century public university for the public good and launched FORWARD., a guiding strategy defined by action. We've identified 21 moments during 2020-21 that moved us forward and will continue to make us better. Each of these moments, or actions, are positioning Bowling Green State University and our students for success.
Moment No. 12 – we can compete. Throughout the past year, BGSU had multiple Mid-American Conference championship victories. Student athletes were able to compete — even during a global pandemic — building a culture of champions.
MAC Champs!
For the first time in University history, both the women's and men's soccer teams qualified for NCAA Championships.

Women's volleyball breaks records with historic season
After capturing the MAC regular-season title and the MAC Tournament Championship, the Falcons competed in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012. The Falcons had their best start in BGSU history at 18-0, the most consecutive wins in program history at 18 and just the third NCAA Tournament bid in program history.

Women's basketball team takes MAC regular season title
Everything clicked for Coach Robyn Fralick and the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team during the 2020-21 season. The Falcons had a 21-8 record, an 11-game improvement from the previous season, and were the Mid-American (MAC) regular season champions.
