Scholarships

The School of Media and Communication provides current students with a variety of scholarships. We recognize outstanding students in different programs of the school for their academic achievements and involvement in student organizations and other extracurricular activities. Please begin your scholarship search and application via the Academic Works portal. The application deadline is March 1.

1. Go to Academic Works at https://bgsu.academicworks.com/ and sign in.
2. Complete the general application.
3. Complete the college/major specific application.
4. After completing these applications, you will be automatically entered to the scholarships you are eligible for. 
5. Only those scholarships that require additional information will be listed and “recommended” for you to “apply.” Make sure to check the details of the scholarship because it may not be applicable to you. For example, the radio talent scholarship requires participation in the student radio station at BGSU.
