Beth Hunter, Ph.D., M.S., OTR/L
Dr. Hunter’s research interests are cancer survivorship, function/participation, rural health and health inequities. Previously funded research has explored:
- Cancer survivorship needs to support participation (NIH/NCI)
- Supports and barriers for people with neurologic disability who live in rural Appalachian Kentucky (NIMHD/NIH). She earned a PCORI Engagement Award focused on that population.
Hunter previously served as an assistant professor in the Graduate Center for Gerontology at the University of Kentucky and was the director of research at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She acted as the research methodologist for the American Occupational Therapy Association in their Evidence-Based Practice unit, which develops clinical systematic reviews and ultimately occupational therapy practice guidelines.
