The International Center Language Institute, Viña del Mar, Chile: a language and cultural exchange school

Global Academic Pathway program, School of Continuing Education, International and Educational Training Center, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China: offering continuing education and training services to the public as an important part of Tsinghua’s talent-cultivation initiative, in the form of short-term training courses, visiting scholar programs, professional certificate programs, etc.

Invenio University, Canas, Costa Rica:  a dual university based on An academic-practical system based on the German model, which combines engineering education with personal training. 

West African Senior High School, Adenta, Ghana:  a government assisted, mixed day and non-denominational institution providing a three-year senior high school education

Hellenic Open University, Greece: a  self-administered State University with its premises located mainly in Patras Greece, provides high-quality university education via distance learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate level

Woodstock School, Mussoorie, India: an accredited, non-profit, unaided, co-educational, residential, international school accorded the status of a Minority Charitable Educational Institution by the National Minorities Commission of India

Hokusei Gakuen University Junior College, Dept. of English, Japan:  a private, Christian university, which focuses on teaching "living English" and fostering a sense of international consciousness among students

Rarahil Memorial School, Kathmandu, Nepal: run by Rarahil Memorial Educational Public Trust, this school is a non-profit institution, which applies student-centered learning approaches and is continuously striving for educational excellence since 1992

Engage Africa, Rustenburg, South Africa: a non-profit organization committed to engaging the children of Africa (starting in the country of South Africa), empowering and nurturing 1.8 million orphans with home, family, education, life skills, and hope for the future

Center for Teaching and Learning, Pusan National University, South Korea: a major research level institution covering all the major disciplines within academia

International Association for Intercultural Education, United Kingdom: brings together professional educators interested in intercultural education, multi-cultural education, anti-racist education, human rights education, active citizenship, inclusive education, conflict-resolution, bi-lingual and multi-lingualism issues, gender and LGBTQ issues, etc.

Curriculum Office, Bethel, Alaska: at the Lower Kuskokwim School District the mission is to ensure bilingual, culturally appropriate and effective education for all students, thereby providing them with the opportunity to be responsible, productive citizens

Community Resident Services, Inc., Sacramento, California:  a 501©(3) California non-profit organization with the goals of playing a role in the development of affordable housing and providing valuable social services to the residents of our properties

The Paliku Academy of Performing Arts, Hawaii: providing a quality arts education in singing, acting, and dancing and facilitating professional-level productions

Global Pathways at Northeastern University, Massachusetts: an intensive academic program that helps students improve their English language skills while becoming comfortable with the culture of an American university

Navajo Nation Trip: a cultural immersion experience with BGSU students at the Navajo Nation and around Arizona (This experience is not offered every year; please check with Dr. Booth or Dr. Frey regarding availability.)

Morry's Camp, Glen Spey, New York: a comprehensive year-round youth development organization based on the idea that all children, regardless of economic status, should experience the life-changing gift of summer camp

PathStone: a private, not-for-profit community development and human service organization, in New York

International School of Portland, Portland, Oregon: using the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme, this school inspires children to become global citizens through an inquiry-based learning environment of total immersion in multiple languages and cultures

Catholic Charities of Dallas Inc/Refugee Empowerment Society, Dallas, Texas: provides support, resources, education and inspiration to empower our clients and improve their lives, specifically by helping resettlement of refugees under the authority of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) contract with the federal government, since 1970

First Peoples Worldwide, Virginia: listening to this global network of talented and passionate Indigenous practitioners, amplifying the voices of Indigenous Peoples by providing funding and advocacy, and helping connect communities to the resources they need to thrive

International Rescue Committee, Seattle, Washington: responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future, around the USA and international, teams work to provide clean water, shelter, health care, education and empowerment support to refugees and displaced people

Student Leadership Program, Middle East Partnership Initiative, Georgetown University in Washington DC: an exchange program for undergraduate student leaders from the Middle East and North Africa. The U.S. Department of State sponsors this initiative

GirlForward, Chicago, Illinois: serves girls ages 14-21 in grades 9-12 who identify as refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers by providing a community of support dedicated to creating and enhancing opportunities for girls who have been displaced globally by conflict and persecution

Flagship Language Program, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana: an innovative language-learning initiative that incorporates advanced language study, international internships, and study abroad

Exodus, Indianapolis, Indiana: a refugee resettlement program, that provides protection and opportunity to refugees fleeing persecution and war, by providing services to refugee newcomers from the point of arrival to self-sufficiency

International Education, Purdue University Fort Wayne, Indiana: promotes cross-cultural awareness and seeks to build mutual respect by providing a venue for cultural, educational, and social events for students, faculty, and the community at large

Global Detroit: a regional economic development and community development organization, with a focus on immigrants and global talent, we develop and implement inclusive strategies to drive the growth, revitalization and broadly shared prosperity of Detroit and Southeast Michigan

Camp Miakonda, Michigan: on a private island in the heart of the Canadian Shield, Camp Mi-A-Kon-Da offers a traditional camping experience for young women in an unparalleled setting, while here, campers learn outdoor skills, independence, respect for nature and leadership

Kids Unlimited: offering children in under-served areas the opportunities they need to reach their fullest potential by providing academic and social tools in an atmosphere of love and respect

BuildOn: Service Learning Programs empower youth from America’s toughest neighborhoods to explore the challenges facing their communities and take action to address these issues through service – helping the homeless, seniors and children in their communities

Kirkmont Center, Outdoor education camp in Ohio: a summer experience rich in fun, friendship, learning and adventure to campers ranging in age from five to ninety-nine

Global Connections:  a non-profit organization Bowling Green, Ohio, working to serve the international residents of our city

La Connexion, Bowling Green, OH: a 501c3 non-profit community organization formed in 2013 by a group of Latinx residents of Northwest Ohio who came together to bring unity, voice, representation, and advance the rights of the growing Latinx community in the area (La Connexion Facebook page)

BGSU Center for Women and Gender Equity: attempts to address issues of gender equity on our campus and in our community through programming and services

Language Learning Center, BGSU: the central site on the BGSU campus that provides technology support to language students and language instructors

Office of Multicultural Affairs, BGSU: promotes, facilitates, and advocates for a welcoming, socially just and inclusive campus community by supporting the retention of diverse student populations and providing diversity education and multicultural programs for students, faculty, staff and the surrounding community

Mandela-Washington Fellowship at BGSU: working with Dr. Christopher Frey and 25 fellows of the Mandela-Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders Institute (MWF-YALI), which provides outstanding young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa with the opportunity to hone their skills at a U.S. college or university with support for professional development after they return home (This experience is not offered every year; please check with Dr. Booth or Dr. Frey regarding availability.)

Training Alliance for the Public Good (TAP program), though the C. Raymond Marvin Center for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement: working under the supervision of Dr. Shannon Orr teams of graduate and undergraduate students at BGSU received intensive grant writing training and then wrote grants for local nonprofits who needed support in applying for the many funding opportunities that have been created in our region, especially to support Northwest Ohio in COVID-19 recovery and response

BGSU International Programs & Partnerships: works with current and prospective students and collaborate with units on campus to provide services regarding education abroad, international student services (such as recruitment and advising), faculty and staff immigration services and international travel registry
