Maxfield, who earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from BGSU, is the director of the Ohio Department of Commerce.

BGSU honors success at commencement Dec 14, 2019 10:18 AM BGSU celebrated its 296th graduation in two ceremonies in the Stroh Center Dec. 13 and Dec. 14. Alumnae addressing the candidates included Sheryl Maxfield and Laurie Stevenson. The December graduating class included 1,047 candidates.

Spaces in Maurer Center Facilitate ‘Collaborative Collisions’ Nov 14, 2019 8:14 AM With the opening of the Robert W. and Patricia A. Maurer Center in fall 2020, 28 spaces in the new business building have been specifically designed to lead to “collaborative collisions” between students as well as with faculty. The percentage of women in CEO positions at Fortune 500 companies plummeted 25% in 2018, according to an article in Fortune magazine authored by Valentina Zarya. Two management professors, Dr. Deborah A. O’Neil and Dr. Margaret E. Brooks, believe that women-to-women working relationships need to be studied and want us to better understand these career support behaviors.

BGSU to hold commencement Dec. 13, 14 Bowling Green State University will celebrate its 296th graduation in two ceremonies at the Stroh Center Dec. 13 and Dec. 14. Alumnae addressing the candidates include Sheryl Maxfield ’81 and Laurie Stevenson ’88, who are both members of Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s Cabinet. The December graduating class includes 1,047 candidates.

Shore, Traul appointed to BGSU Board of Trustees Amy Shore, of Bexley, Ohio, and Howard Traul, II of Bellefontaine, have been appointed by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine to the Bowling Green State University Board of Trustees. Shore will complete the term of former trustee Karen Morrison and will serve until 2022. Traul will serve a nine-year term.
