College’s Young Alumni Board Adds Four New Members
The Young Alumni Board is comprised of successful alumni who have graduated within the last 15 years. They bring young alumni insight to advise the dean and the College in such areas as strategic planning, academics, student mentorship, internships and co-ops, job placement, faculty engagement with industry, and alumni affairs.
This spring, four new members joined the Young Alumni Board – Landon Drewes,’15, ’16, Owens-Illinois; Colin King ’15, Textron Specialized Vehicles; Brett Mohler ‘14, Charles Schwab; and David Neely ’14, ’15, Welltower.
Here are brief bios of each new member.
Landon Drewes is an intermediate tax & financial reporting analyst for Owens-Illinois with a demonstrated history of working in the glass, ceramics and concrete industry. He is a Certified Public Accountant who is skilled in international and federal tax accounting, compliance, and planning. Drewes earned an undergraduate business degree, specializing in finance and accounting, from BGSU and continued his education at the University earning his master’s in accounting.
As the operations leader at Textron Specialized Vehicles, based in Atlanta, Colin King is a supply chain professional who has a demonstrated history of working in the aviation and defense industry. He has moved up in several positions within Textron and interned at the company before graduating from BGSU in 2015 with a supply chain management specialization.
Brett Mohler is VP-financial consultant with Charles Schwab located in Columbus. Mohler, who has been with Charles Schwab for more than four years, is a Certified Financial Planner and has a Life and Variable Annuity Insurance License. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business, specializing in finance and applied economics, from BGSU. While attending the University, he was a member of the BGSU Men’s Hockey Team.
Joining Welltower in 2018, David Neely is a senior partnership accountant. He is responsible for maintaining the relationship between Welltower and several joint venture partners. Previously, he held accounting positions with Gilmore Jasion Mahler and EY.
Neely graduated summa cum laude from BGSU with a bachelor’s in business, specializing in accounting, and a Master of Accountancy. The two-time BGSU graduate was active while attending the University as the vice president of the Undergraduate Student Government and through his membership in Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
These four alumni join the more than 30 other successful young professionals as a member of the Young Alumni Board.
