Plague Parallels

Reading about other pandemics throughout history, our reaction to Covid-19 has been comparable in some ways to the Black Death. Quarantines, often times externally enforced, "branding" of the infected, feelings of isolation, social distancing (strictly enforced rather than voluntarily), and general paranoia of our fellow human beings, all could be seen throughout history. I find it interesting that, despite our vastly superior medical knowledge in the modern age, human nature has, in some ways, stayed the same.
