Renee Birnbaum, J.D.

Renee Birnbaum is the Pre-law Advisor for all BGSU students who are interested in attending law school.

Dr. Renee Birnbaum is an Assistant Teaching Professor-Legal Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences Political Science Department and in the Schmidthorst College of Business. She is the Faculty Pre-Law Advisor and Law Society Advisor. Dr. Birnbaum teaches law and legal skills and business courses. She is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and received her law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She was in private practice in Toledo, Ohio, and a partner with the law firm of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick and a trial attorney at Garan Lucow Miller in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Dr. Birnbaum was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Law at The University of Michigan Law School where she taught in the Legal Skills/Legal Practice and LL.M programs.
