Dr. Gong's research is grounded in family systems theory and focuses on the family processes (e.g., interparental relationship, parenting behavior) and their impact on children’s and youth's development. Her work also explores potential protective factors that can buffer children and youth against the negative effect of family stressors, thereby enhancing their resilience.
