• No, students are not required to take the GRE or upload GRE scores for admission to the Kinesiology Program and Sport Administration Program

• The Kinesiology and Sport Administration Programs are set up to be completed in two academic years. Most classes are taught once every two years.

• There are several leadership opportunities at BGSU! Within the School of Human Movement, Sport, & Leisure Studies there are opportunities to serve on the Graduate Student Advisory Board, the Community Outreach Committee or be the Graduate Faculty Student Representative.
  
• Other opportunities include the Graduate Student Senate, Graduate Women’s Caucus and We Are One Team, which offers opportunities to become involved in campus-wide initiatives about sport and social justice.

• Students whose applications are received by the deadlines noted above will typically receive an answer within one month.
• Responses to late applications may take up to 8 weeks (late applications are considered if spaces within a program are still available)

• The School of Human Movement, Sport & Leisure Studies has approximately 14-18 assistantships annually.
  
• To be considered for a GA position, you need to have at least a 3.0 undergraduate GPA.
• The School of Human Movement, Sport and Leisure Studies also has on-going relationships with a number of potential assistantship sites, including BGSU Athletics and BGSU Recreation & Wellness. Prospective students should apply directly to these programs to secure a graduate assistantship.

• Students in Kinesiology and Sport Administration have three options: write a thesis, complete a major project, or a comprehensive exam
  
• A thesis entails completing a research study
• A project is an applied or practical endeavor related to students’ coursework. Examples include developing a marketing plan, creating a handbook of mental skills for athletes, producing a treatment protocol or emergency plan and developing a conditioning program for a specific team.
• A comprehensive exam is a written test of the student's knowledge in their academic program
