The AI in Higher Education Badge, administered by the Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE), is intended to recognize members of the BGSU community for their participation in the Fall 2023 AI Event Series, hosted by the CFE. All BGSU faculty members, adjunct instructors, graduate students, and staff are welcomed and encouraged to participate in this program. The program provides opportunities to interact with colleagues from the BGSU community and to explore the use of AI in the classroom and beyond.

Program Outcomes

By participating in this badge program, you will:

• Explore innovative uses of AI in teaching, learning, scholarship, and creative practice.
• Interact with colleagues from across the BGSU community.
• Earn recognition from the CFE for your involvement.

Program Requirements

To successfully complete the program, you must:

• Attend at least three out of four events scheduled for the AI Event Series.
• Confirm your attendance by completing the Fall 2023 CFE AI Event Series Attendance form during the event. This form will be shared with you during the event.  

Program Recognition

If you successfully complete the AI in Higher Education badge program, you will receive the following forms of recognition:

• A digital badge which can be added to your email signature
• Recognition on the Center for Faculty Excellence website
• Acknowledgement at the annual BGSU Teaching & Learning Summit (see Program Eligibility dates below)

Program Eligibility Dates

To receive the AI in Higher Education badge, you must complete the program requirements during the Fall 2023 semester. Badges will be awarded to eligible participants by the start of the Spring 2024 semester.
