RallyCap Sports Kicks Off to an Exciting Start at BGSU Oct 21, 2014 4:45 PM A community rallied together for the kickoff of a non-profit at BGSU that helps people with disabilities participate in sports and foster an environment of “together we rally.” RallyCap Sports is a non-profit founded in New Jersey by BGSU alum Paul Hooker ’75. He wanted to expand the non-profit outside of his state and partner with other universities. He contacted College of Business Dean Ray Braun who connected Hooker to current College of Business student Luke Sims, a senior specializing in marketing and entrepreneurship to collaborate in launching this recreational sports program on campus.

Hartley Selected for APICS Top Student Chapter Mentor Award & Honored by Ohio Magazine Oct 21, 2014 2:30 PM Our faculty, staff, and students in the supply chain management program continue to be selected for national and international recognition. Dr. Janet Hartley, management professor and director of the BGSU Supply Chain Management Institute, is the latest to be honored by APICS, the leading professional association for supply chain and operations management. She has been selected as the recipient of the 2014 Student Chapter Mentor Award which recognizes superior leadership and exceptional contributions as a mentor to a local student chapter.

Alicia Fernandez-Mott ‘82 Oct 20, 2014 10:30 AM Alicia Fernandez-Mott is former chief, Division of Seasonal Farmworker Programs, Employment and Training Administration for the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C. From 1991 until her retirement in 2006, she managed job training programs for migrant workers across the nation and developed and monitored performance standards and financial management of funds to State governments, non-profit organizations and educational institutions.

MIS Student Describes Internship He Obtained His Freshman Year Oct 20, 2014 10:30 AM The BGSU College of Business undergraduate curriculum is focused on interactive teaching and emphasizes extracurricular activities that add value to a student’s business education. Internships are encouraged so students are able to obtain real-world experience and apply knowledge from their academic courses to the workplace. Having an internship also improves a student’s chances of getting hired even before they graduate.

Homecoming Events in College of Business Reconnect Alumni with Alma Mater Oct 20, 2014 9:30 AM Alumni returned to campus and visited the College of Business during Homecoming, a day packed with events that brought together alumni, students, faculty and staff. The day began with a delicious breakfast where attendees had casual conversations and reminisced about their college days with the College of Business Student Ambassadors.
