Meet "The Hatch" Investors Vying to Launch Student Businesses

BGSU is the only university in the country to host a program where student entrepreneurs have the opportunity to obtain investor funding to launch their ventures.  This unique and highly successful program called “The Hatch” is in its second year and is set for April 9 at 7:00pm in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union’s Lenhart Grand Ballroom. Students selected for the "The Hatch" have spent the last nine weeks working closely with alumni mentors to polish and perfect their presentations.  

A dozen students will be pitching their startup ideas to five investors in front of a live audience of 1,300 as well as streamed live. Let’s meet who the generous investors are…..

This is a free event open to the public, however, registration is required to attend.

If you can’t attend the program live, perhaps you are interested in hosting a "Hatch Watch" party.  The College and the Alumni Association will provide the live stream and send you BGSU and CBA giveaways for your guests. All you need to do is host the party and invite a few friends! Please contact Amy West (amywest@bgsu.edu).  More than 50 “Hatch Watch” parties have been registered.
