College of Business Graduate Honored as Distinguished Alumna

BGSU's Academy of Distinguished Alumni awarded its highest honor to four University alumni in October with one of those being a graduate of the College of Business, Maryrose Sylvester ('87). This prestigious award bestowed by the University recognizes the extraordinary accomplishments of alumni who have made significant contributions to their chosen professional field and/or through their community involvement. Ms. Sylvester is currently President & CEO of GE Lighting, a division of General Electric, which is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.

Ms. Sylvester brought her leadership insight to campus last spring by participating on a panel for the College of Business's Women in Leadership symposium entitled "Becoming a Woman of Influence."
