Artist's Statement
I wanted to design a 3D model of a shark with a fishing shack on its back and embellished it with wheels and exhaust pipes to morph it into a fantasy motorcycle that can rocket down a country road or fly through the air. Modeled and rendered in Maya and composited in Photoshop.
I have also begun creating aerial drone photographs concentrating on landscape abstracts during the seasons in the farm lands around Ohio.
About the Artist
I originally come from Seattle Washington, then Tucson Arizona, and my interest in photography began at an early age. I earned a BA in Graphics with an Associated Degree in Photography and went on to earn a MA in Animation.Currently an Assistant Teaching Professor at BGSU, I previously worked as an animator in the video game world and was lucky to have had the opportunity to be a part of the “Polar Express” film. I spent a year teaching in Mexico and was enamored with the culture and small towns.
I like to focus on abstract images and things unseen that people normally might pass by, but also enjoy nature photography. Recently I have been exploring aerial photography with drones and have experimented with 3D modeling and printing.
