Emma Studer-Perez
Background:
Emma Studer-Perez is a third-year graduate student in the Clinical psychology Doctoral Program at Bowling Green State University. She was born and raised in a rural town in Ohio and earned her BS from the University of Findlay in 2020 and her MA at Bowling Green in August, 2021. In her free time, Emma enjoys riding horses, spending time with family and friends, and completing service projects in the Dominican Republic.
Emma is advised primarily by Dr. Dara Musher-Eizenman and her research interests are focused around food decisions. More specifically, she is interested in the bidirectional relationship of the parent-child dyad when making food choices and the mechanisms that drive this relationship. Moreover, Emma is interested in how food perceptions and the function of food may change after children leave the home. Following graduate school, Emma aims to practice clinically in underserved communities while continuing to complete research in the area of pester power.
