Mickey Lorkowski first fell in love with philosophy while finishing his degree in Finance and Management. After switching his career focus, he completed his PhD under Paul Draper in 2010. He has taught at several institutions since then, accruing two teaching awards. His main areas of interest are the History of Early Modern Philosophy and contemporary Philosophy of Religion. Though Mickey’s primary focus has always been teaching, he has published several articles on both Spinoza and Hume, and he serves as the 18th Century British Philosophy editor at the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy. His book, Atheism Considered- A Survey of the Rational Rejection of Religious Belief, has so far enjoyed a warm reception.
Mickey lives in the Cleveland area with the love of his life, along with their daughter and a slobbering imbecile Saint Bernard. He is a movie buff, an avid table-top gamer, and a semi-professional poker player. He also loves treasure-hunting at garage sales and thrift stores, as well as exploring old structures. He has recently taken up refinishing antique furniture.
