For Your Research

Ohio has one of the most complex and robust cooperative library systems in the country. Consequently, even the most seasoned library user may need some assistance navigating multiple catalogs, hundreds of information databases and other research tools. Here are some places to get started.

The University supports a subscription to RefWorks and the University Librarians are responsible for providing support for this tool. We can help with other bibliographic management tools too such as Zotero.

  • RefWorks
  • Zotero (now available through the BGSU ITS Software Center)

Whether you need to verify the credibility of a publisher or you are seeking a place to send your work, the UL subscribes to several useful tools to support your research.

If you are wondering who is citing your work or need to know this information when it comes time to put your promotion dossier together, consult these resources.

The following items are available for check-out at the Circulation Desk, and may be helpful to you for your research.

  • Voice Recorders
  • Video Cameras and Tripods
  • Poster Tubes
  • Lok-Mobiles: personal, lockable book carts used to store research materials in the library between research sessions
