CAC Awarded Ohio LSTA Metadata Mini-Grant Nov 16, 2022 3:00 PM Bowling Green State University's Center for Archival Collections (CAC) is one of five institutions receiving Metadata Mini-Grants to enable them to prepare their collections for the Ohio Digital Network (ODN) and Digital Public Library of America (DPLA). Libraries of all types, museums, and cultural heritage organizations were eligible to apply for a State Library Metadata Mini-Grant for up to $4,999 in federal LSTA funds.

Library Research in Canvas Jan 20, 2022 10:36 AM Students now have direct access to library databases and Research Guides via "Library Research" in Canvas. Students will see either a Research Guide related to their course or a basic Research Guide that gives access to library resources and help. Updates made to any Research Guides are automatically updated in the Canvas shell.

"Archival Encounters" presented by the Center for Archival Collections Now Available Jan 11, 2022 9:00 AM In its new podcast series Archival Encounters, the Center for Archival Collections (CAC) uses primary sources from its unique collections, particularly oral history interviews, to bring voices from the past into conversation with the present. Each encounter will explore figures from the many histories documented within the CAC’s collections, including those of BGSU, northwest Ohio, the Great Lakes, national student affairs, and rare books, and will include discussions with a BGSU scholar or community expert to contextualize their stories and illuminate their relevance to the world today.
