Classified Compensation Updates FAQ
The classified compensation project will continue in phases. For this phase of the project, the focus was to allow BGSU to be more competitive in our recruitment efforts. The approach with implementing a new hire tool that recognizes external experience up to 5 years may cause compression issues for selected positions, and HR will address compression on a case-by-case basis, when positions are filled.
HR will determine the appropriate starting wage.
Departmental budgets will be adjusted accordingly for deficits resulting from personnel hired in at the new rate.
