Career Tech Workforce Education

The Department of Career Tech Workforce Education prepares students for careers in education and industry. With a long and rich history, the department has prepared and graduated thousands of business, marketing, family and consumer science and career tech teachers. In fact, programs now offered within the department began at BGSU during the early decades of the University, which was founded in 1910.

Today, the department of Career Tech Workforce Education has two distinct programs of study. The on-campus, undergraduate program focus is teacher preparation in the areas of business and marketing education and family and consumer science education, while the fully all-online alternative program focus is Career Tech licensure preparation for individuals already hired by school districts, many of whom have come directly from industry or have non-CT teacher licensure in another area.
