Educational Foundations & Inquiry
Educational Foundations and Inquiry (EDFI) is home to the MA in Cross-Cultural and International Education (MACIE) program, and an array of courses on educational foundations, educational psychology, and assessment, research, and statistics. As an interdisciplinary department in the School of Educational Foundations, Leadership and Policy (EFLP), we teach courses in teacher education, special education, counseling and psychological services, higher education, and educational leadership.
The program has developed common expectations for all its undergraduate and graduate courses.
EDFI consists of three distinct academic areas and one field experience program:
- Assessment, Research and Statistics (Drs. Burgoon, Galletta Horner, LaVenia, Roberts, and Vannatta)
- Educational Psychology (Drs. Bang, Booth, Horner, and Matuga)
- Social Foundations of Education (Drs. Collet, Frey)
