Interior Design Experiences
BGSU’s Interior Design program provides many opportunities for students to gain insight about the professional practice of interior design from visiting lecturers, workshops, student organizations and field trips to various sites, such as the Chicago Merchandise Mart and the Toledo Museum of Art.
Workshops and Interior Design Master Lecture Series
BGSU interior design majors have exposure to contemporary issues affecting interior design and have opportunities to participate in workshops and lectures.
Guest Lecturers provide professional insight and research in the areas of Human Behavior, Sustainability, Universal Design, Design Process, Professionalism and Business Practice. Past lectures include:

BGSU ASID Student Chapter
Students may join ASID (The American Society of Interior Design) as a student chapter member and eligible ASID Student Members may advance to Allied Membership upon graduation.
Students attend and participate in monthly meetings and activities to advance the interior design profession and celebrate the power of design to positively change people’s lives. Students incorporate education, knowledge sharing, and community building through the student chapter. Each year, students travel to the Chicago Merchandise Mart to network and enhance design and product knowledge in the industry.
IIDA Toledo City Center
BGSU students have the opportunity to join the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and participate in the educational activities and presentations by the Toledo City Center.
