Joseph Zhang, Ph.D.

Joseph Zhang is the Department Chair and the Robert W. and Patricia A. Maurer Family Distinguished Endowed Professor in the Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems at Bowling Green State University. He earned his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University and his master’s degree from the University of Illinois. With over 50 published journal articles in accounting and corporate finance, more than 20 of his papers are rated ABS-3 or higher. He also serves on the editorial boards of several accounting journals as an associate editor or conference editor. Prior to joining BGSU, he was a professor and George Johnson Fellow at the University of Memphis. Additionally, he is an active CPA.
