Student Organizations
The following is just a sampling of student groups and activities within the Department of Theatre and Film. Please contact the student leaders for up-to-date information for these and our other student groups!
Alpha Psi Omega was organized as a theatre honor society for the purpose of providing acknowledgement to those demonstrating a high standard of accomplishment in theatre and, through the expansion of Alpha Psi Omega among colleges and universities, providing a wider fellowship for those interested in theatre. The society is not intended to take the place of any regular theatre clubs or producing groups, but as students qualify they may be rewarded by election to membership in this society. Any student interested in theatre is welcome to attend meetings. Students who participate in the department’s production program are eligible to be inducted into APO upon accruing enough points as determined by the APO national body.

Each week we have a different student choreographer come in and teach a different style of dance with the occasional masterclass from a alumni, professor, or professional dancer. We encourage all to come dance with us, whether it's for passion, exercise, or just for fun! Anyone and Everyone is welcome in UDA regardless of your dance background! Classes are $3 per class or members can pay $15 a semester or $25 a year to attend unlimited classes and participate in the showcases. We hold student-run, student choreographed showcases at the end each semester that you can audition for if you have an interest in performing. We hold auditions at the beginning of each semester for our showcases. Participation is optional and you do not need to be in showcase to come to our Wednesday classes, but everyone is welcome to audition regardless of dance background. We also perform at different BGSU and community events during the year. The studio is a judgement free zone and is a place to come express who you are and what you love freely!
