Arts Roundtable
The arts at Bowling Green State University share a distinguished history in service to our majors, general education students, and the regional community beyond. Various arts programming is currently sponsored through Academic Affairs in the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Education and Human Development, Musical Arts, and through Continuing Education as well as by various divisions in Student Affairs. Bowling Green State University offers an inviting arts environment to complement courses for distinguished arts degree programs (the College of Musical Arts, the School of Art, and the Departments of Theatre and Film, and Creative Writing) with general education opportunities for the entire campus. Members of the extended community feel welcome in attending theatrical productions, art exhibitions, film series, and concert performances of the highest quality. Our graduates find that exposure to the arts enrich and enhance their degrees from Bowling Green State University.
The arts community on campus has established an informal association of faculty and administrators from many of these units called the Arts Roundtable. Our collective vision is to utilize the arts resources of Bowling Green State University to attract quality students, new donors and resources to campus, and to enrich the campus residential learning experience through the arts.
The members of the Arts Roundtable are dedicated to achieving these campus goals through more cooperative and coordinated action. We anticipate that the overall image of Bowling Green State University will be enhanced through these efforts. We also believe that we can achieve our University mission as a premier learning community only by providing significant opportunities in the arts for all BGSU students.
