Bailey Poland Pronounces for Wood County Spelling Bee

Second-year Rhetoric & Writing student Bailey Poland served as the pronouncer for the Wood County spelling bee on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Bailey has been active in spelling bees since she was in middle school, making it to the Scripps National Spelling Bee twice. She has been a judge and pronouncer for school, county, and regional spelling bees for more than a decade.

Aaron Mejiritski won the Wood County spelling bee on the word "belay." He and five other spellers will attend the regional spelling bee in Toledo in March; the winner of that bee moves on to the national competition.
