Undergraduate Program
Ethnic Studies students must complete 4 required courses and 7 elective courses (21 hours, at the appropriate course level) for a total of 33 hours. Students are also required to select a minor. Majors will take the four required courses with other students from the units in the School of Cultural and Critical Studies (CCS) which includes American Culture Studies, Popular Culture, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. These interdisciplinary CCS courses are designed to bring together the diverse knowledge and skills our majors have acquired and to prepare them for life after BGSU. In these courses, students will learn cultural studies theories and research methods, create their own research project, and engage in service-learning.
