Gaetano Donizetti’s comic opera “The Elixir of Love (L’elisir d’amore)” will be presented at 8 p.m. Friday (Feb. 26) and at 3 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 28) in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.

The Marlene A. Dietrich Purdy Scholarship will be awarded beginning this fall.

Regents name BGSU center of excellence Feb 23, 2010 10:43 AM The Ohio Board of Regents on Feb. 19 formally accepted Bowling Green State University as a center of excellence in “Health and Wellness Across the Lifespan.” Gov. Ted Strickland and OBOR Chancellor Eric Fingerhut made the announcement during a meeting in Cleveland at which Dr. Linda Petrosino, dean of BGSU’s College of Health and Human Services, presented the University’s programs.

BGSU to host Clarinet Conference for students Feb 22, 2010 10:42 AM Bowling Green State University’s College of Musical Arts will hold a Clarinet Conference on March 10 for high school and college clarinetists. Featured will be special guest Yehuda Gilad from the University of Southern California Thornton School. Gilad is also a master teacher at the Colburn School of the Performing Arts in Los Angeles.

BGSU Lively Arts Calendar, Feb. 17-March 3, 2010 The BGSU Faculty Artist Series continues with cellist Alan Smith and pianist Thomas Rosenkranz at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. The all-Chopin program celebrates the bicentennial of the composer’s birth and will feature preludes, etudes, mazurkas and nocturnes, as well as the “Sonata for Cello and Piano in G Minor, Op. 65.” Free.
