Bowling Green State University will put out the welcome mat Monday, Feb. 15, for its annual Presidents’ Day open house, the biggest campus visit day of the year for prospective and admitted students and their families.
More than 2,200 students and 5,800 people in all have registered to attend (as of Feb. 12), for the chance to visit when high schools are closed but BGSU classes are in session.
The open house is scheduled from 9 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. Campus tours and classroom visits will be going on all day, and the Lenhart Grand Ballroom in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union will be the center for presentations.
Students who are already accepted at Bowling Green can use the time to preview the residence halls, meet with faculty and begin to plan for attending.
High school juniors beginning their college searches can see the campus in action, meet with financial aid representatives and other campus service personnel, and explore the campus. Academic departments will offer open-house activities, and special sessions will be offered on financial aid, choosing a major, residence life and more.
