Bravo Music Awards
At Bowling Green State University, talent-based music scholarships are called Bravo Music Awards and are awarded to incoming students to recognize musical potential and achievement. These awards are tuition fee waivers awarded in varying amounts to be applied towards tuition.
~ 40% of students accepted to the College of Musical Arts will receive a Bravo Music Award.
The audition is the primary factor in determining these awards, however, other criteria may be used such as GPA and test scores.
Renewable for four years if the criteria listed below are met each year.
For incoming freshmen
Transfer students may renew up to a total of four academic years counting full-time study at both the previous institution(s) and BGSU.
Notification of awards and contracts will be mailed to recipients toward the end of March.
CRITERIA
In order to renew the Bravo Award from one year to the next, students must meet the criteria listed below for each semester.
Enroll as a full-time student: 12 credit hours or more each semester
Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
Participate in an approved large ensemble
Achieve a minimum grade of “B” in applied instruction, minimum 2 credit hours each semester
