Falcon Marching Band Color Guard

Auditions for BGSU’s 2024 Color Guard will be held on Saturday, June 8th
from 11:00am-4:pm with a lunch break where we will pick a fast-food
place to go to as a group.
Location: Eppler South Gym, located on Main campus. Park in Lot N and
walk down Ridge Street to the Eppler building.

Attire: Comfortable workout clothes. We will be inside, but be sure to bring
tennis shoes in the event we move outside.
Equipment: Some flags will be provided but be sure to bring your own. If
you own a rifle and would be interested in spinning it this season, be sure
to bring that as well (rifle skills not required for general audition).
Skills: Be sure to brush up on basic spinning techniques like drop spins,
cones, and simple tosses like a flat or pop toss. Any techniques we go over
will be taught during the audition. Also be prepared to learn a short routine.

over (the last routine is just for basics practice, we will not be judging you
on it in the tryout).

General Information: The size of the team will be dependent on the skill
and number of applicants. Candidates selected are members of the band
and are subject to the same rules, regulations, and expectations of other
band members. BGSU Color Guard members are expected to tryout each
