Fall Concert
At the beginning of each Fall semester, Praecepta hosts an informal evening concert of new music composed or performed by Praecepta members.
24x24
Composers have twenty-four hours to write a piece for a randomly-assigned soloist, and the soloist has twenty-four hours to learn the piece before all participants convene for performances.
Praecepta Mini-Fest
Every Spring Semester, Praecepta organizes a short, two-and-a-half-day festival comprising concerts, lectures, and workshops.
Perform or Die

Despite the name, Perform or Die is a casual, social, low-stress environment for performers, composers, and improvisers alike to workshop their material. Praecepta members sign up for slots on the bill, then their names are drawn at random to determine performance order.
