Books, Scores, etc. with a status of Available  Borrow for 3 weeks with unlimited renewals

CDs, DVDs, etc. with a status of Shorter Loan  Borrow for 3 days, renew up to 3 times

M2 and M3 scores with a status of Shorter Loan  Must be used in the Music Library

Items with a status of Library Use Only  Must be used in the Music Library

OhioLINK Books and Scores  Borrow for 3 weeks, renew up to 6 times

OhioLINK CDs, DVDs, etc.  Borrow for 1 week

Books, Scores, etc. with a status of Available  Borrow for the semester
*Items can be renewed online at the end of Fall semester, but must be renewed in person at the end of Spring

Other OhioLINK Services:

Pick-Up Anywhere: If you're going home for break or will be away from school for any reason, you can still request OhioLINK materials via your institution, and pick them up at any OhioLINK library.  For example, if you're Ohio University student who wants to borrow a BGSU book, but you're working a summer job in downtown Cleveland, you can find an item online using the OhioLINK catalog, and request that the book be sent to Cleveland State University, where you can pick it up there.

Borrow Direct: If you're visiting the BGSU library and happen to find some books you want to checkout but don't want to request them online, it's no problem!  You just need to head on over to our circulation desk with the items you would like to check out, and your student ID from the college or university to which you belong.  We'll check them out to you here, and when your finished, you can return them to your home institution as you would any other OhioLINK book.

If you live outside of Ohio and would like to borrow an item from the Music Library, we ask that you place a request using the Interlibrary Loan system (ILL).  Visit your local public or college library with your request, who will then place the request on your behalf.  If the item in question is available for lending, we will then mail (or if possible, email) the item to your library, where you can checkout the item, or use it there, depending on your library's policies.  

Items with a status of Available, and items from our Sheet Music Collection (Call numbers beginning with "SMC") and New Music Festival collection (Call numbers beginning with "NMF"), can be requested via Interlibrary Loan.  Sound recordings cannot be requested.  ILL FAQ
