The Honors Scroll Vol. 48 Issue #4

What is the Unify Challenge?

The Unify Challenge College Bowl is a guided video conversation with a student from another university who's different from you. Together, the two of you will talk through a survey about big goals for our country. You'll cover topics like mental health, climate change, policing, student loans, and immigration. No prep needed!

When is the Unify Challenge?

There are 14 options for your virtual conversation that run from September 24-October 9.

Why might I participate in Unify Challenge?

It’s human nature to feel most comfortable staying in our bubble with our own “tribe,” but it’s not so healthy for our country. By participating in the Unify Challenge College Bowl, you’ll help prove that when it comes to our hopes for America, we’re really not that far apart, and that discussing our differences openly and respectfully only helps close the gap further. You have the opportunity to have important conversations that may spark meaningful change in communities all over the U.S.

In addition, this experience will help you in working on the Honors College Distinction in Leadership, an additional recognition awarded to involved and engaged students. You might also be eligible for Honors course credit toward graduation with University Honors.
