The Honors Scroll Vol. 48 Issue #1

August 26 is on the horizon! Review these pointers to be ready:

  • Monitor BGSU email. Sometimes a class is cancelled or adjusted. Occasionally an instructor provides instructions about preparations to take before the first class. There are financial and logistical steps as well to be alert for, and email will be the primary way in which you’re notified. Start your email organization habits now by creating folders to save important communications!
  • Check your schedule. If you need to make adjustments, be sure to connect with your academic advisor/faculty advisor and Student Financial Aid & Scholarship. Remember, changes to your schedule might result in changes to your bill, scholarship eligibility, etc.
  • Review your Canvas shell and available syllabi. Most courses use Canvas to house information the class. Check routinely (starting now!) for a sense of the expectations, assignments, etc. The syllabus may be posted to your Canvas course shell or handed out on the first day of class.
  • Manage your plan with Honors. We want Honors to be enriching--not a source of anxiety! We can share tools and customize your game plan to navigate Honors. Connect with your Honors Advisor to talk through any questions or concerns. Contact your Honors advisor:
