Carol M. Puder
Professional Biography/Profile
Carol Puder is the Program Director for the Respiratory Care program and has been at BGSU Firelands since 1995. During that time, she has taught various lecture, lab, and clinical courses in both an online and in-person format. She is currently focused on teaching pharmacology, case studies in respiratory care disease identification and management, advanced cardiac life support, research methods for the health sciences, and a course to prepare students for their credentialing exams. She believes in the meaningful integration of technology into her courses to increase student learning and communication as well as to administer learning experiences for students across a wide range of geographic locations. She incorporated a hybrid model of class instruction for the respiratory care program which will allow students to complete the program while balancing life and work needs. She received the Distinguished Part-Time Teacher Award in 2012.
Research Interests/Selected Publications
Ms. Puder's interests focus on using online learning strategies, clinical simulation, and case studies used in allied health education. She has also completed book reviews on respiratory care pharmacology.
