The list below provides for each award: the award name, the eligibility and submission criteria, and anticipated monetary total for the award. Please note students who meet the minimum requirements listed are automatically considered for these awards unless otherwise noted.

Eligibility: The Governor's Award will be given to the highest ranking recipient of the Incoming Freshman Talent Award exhibiting in the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition. The recipient of this scholarship will be determined soon after the jury process for the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition is completed.


The recipient will receive $1000 in addition to the amount of the Incoming Freshman Talent Award.

Demonstration of financial need is determined through the BGSU Student Financial Aid Office. The recipient must be enrolled full-time in the following academic year.

Eligibility: Recipient will be the member of the Junior BFA class and a rising senior with the highest GPA (3.5 minimum) and is to be announced in spring at the opening of the annual Undergraduate Exhibition. Automatic consideration. The award is not made available until the following Fall when the student is enrolled as a full-time BFA student and is attending classes. The recipient cannot also be the recipient of Clark, Hillard, or Leedy scholarships in the same year

Work is to be created by BGSU MFA fine arts student and displayed in the annual MFA Thesis Exhibition. Applicants shall be full-time graduate students, who are in good standing, and earned a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection committee shall consist of the School of Art Director and two members of the graduate faculty designated by the Director. The awards will be announced in conjunction with the annual MFA Thesis Exhibition
