Kelly Stamper Balistreri received her PhD in Sociology with a concentration in demography from Bowling Green State University in 2006. Her research examines the health and well-being of at‐risk families as well as the socioeconomic incorporation of youth from immigrant families. Much of her work examines the implications of socioeconomic inequality on child health and well-being. Her ongoing projects include the study of family complexity and childhood food insecurity, as well as the unmet need for healthcare among immigrant families in the United States.
