Frank Daniel (Dan) Rzicznek earned a B.A. in English from Kent State University, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (Poetry) from Bowling Green State University. Dan's research and teaching interests include community-engaged creative writing, hybrid genre studies, and post-pastoral lyric. The author of three poetry collections: Settlers, Divination Machine and Neck of the World, as well four chapbooks of poetry: Live Feeds, Nag Champa in the Rain, Vine River Hermitage, and Cloud Tablets, he is also the co-editor of The Rose Metal Press Field Guide to Prose Poetry: Contemporary Poets in Discussion and Practice. His poems have appeared in The New Republic, Boston Review, Orion, Kenyon Review, West Branch, and many other literary venues. Dan's honors include the May Swenson Poetry Award, a fellowship from the Rabbit Island Foundation, and two Individual Excellence Awards from the Ohio Arts Council.
