Dr. Lee Nickoson Promoted to Full Professor
On Friday, May 3, Dr. Lee Nickoson was promoted to Full Professor at the Board of Trustees meeting, in recognition of her research, teaching, and service to the university. Dr. Nickoson has been a faculty member at BGSU since 2006, where she has been an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Affiliated Faculty for Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She currently serves as the Chair of the Department of English.
Her research interests include composition pedagogy, community literacy, feminist approaches to researching and teaching composition, qualitative research methods, service learning, writing response and assessment. She regularly chairs and serves on dissertation and thesis committees, and mentors numerous graduate students.
Her recent publications include Composing Feminist Interventions, co-edited with Dr. Kristine Blair (WAC Clearinghouse, 2018) and "Integrated and Intentional Institutional Infrastructures to Support the Assessment of Undergraduate Writing: How Data Fuel This Process," co-authored with Dr. Julia M. Matuga (Vice Provost, Institutional Effectiveness), and Dr. Jessica M. Turos (Associate Director, Academic Assessment).
