- Dr. Igor Schapiro, former postdoc with Dr. M. Olivucci, received the PostDoctoral Research Award by the Physical Chemistry (PHYS) his work carried out at BGSU between April 2009 and 2011. He will be honored at the PHYS Division reception at the ACS National Meeting in Denver and will be giving a talk in a PHYS symposium 'Excited State Dynamics: Theory and Experiment' August 24, 2011
- Dr. Weidong Yang receives $1.3 million to to solve the critical problems in nucleocytoplasmic transport and provide advanced knowledge to unravel the nuclear transport mechanism
