Team Information
THE TEAM:
Our Program consists of a Co-Ed & All-Girl Team. The Co-Ed team typically consists between 8-12 couples. The All-Girl team typically consists between 8-10 stunt groups.
GAMEDAY:
Both the Co-Ed & All-Girl teams cheer at all home football, basketball and volleyball games. Select travel squads will attend away football games, MAC tournament games and NCAA games. The travel squads are determined based on dedication, work ethic, position and number we are permitted to travel.
PROGRAM VALUES:
Our program values a team culture that is built upon respect and inclusivity. We strive to build positive relationships with one another that resemble a family. Our program also puts a strong emphasis on leadership development to provide members with skills that they will be able to take with them into their futures.
STUDENT FIRST:
The BGSU Cheerleading Program puts a strong emphasis on being a STUDENT first. All athletes are required to log study hours as well as have their grades checked frequently throughout the semester. The team is given a lot of valuable resources to help assist them in achieving academic success. Athletes are required to have a GPA of 2.5 or higher to be eligible members of the team.
UCA COLLEGE NATIONAL:
As a program we compete at the UCA College National Cheerleading Championship. Please see our National Tab to learn more.

Workout Group A: 6:30AM – 8:00AM
Practice: 3:30PM – 6:00PM
Tuesday:
Workout Group B: 6:30AM – 8:00AM
Practice 3:30PM – 6:00PM
Wednesday:
Workout Group A: 6:30AM – 8:00AM
Practice: 3:30PM – 6:00PM
Thursday:
Workout Group B: 6:30AM – 8:00AM

Athletes are required to log study table hours between the hours of 8:00AM – 5:00PM
BGSU offers numerous scholarships for students. If you meet one of the below requirements, you are often eligible for significant scholarship opportunities.
High School GPA of 3.0 or better
ACT score of 24 or higher
Have a sibling/parent that went to BGSU or is currently attending BGSU
Cheerleaders in our program are currently involved in major scholarship programs such as the Sidney A. Ribeau President’s Leadership Academy and Thompson Working Families Scholarship Program. Along with providing financial support, scholars in these programs are also matched with an advisor to provide added mentorship and support.
