My research interests encompass various areas of RNA biology with primary focus on bioinformatical and computational aspects. I am particularly interested in linking RNA structural data with other biological resources in order to advance research in ncRNA discovery, functional annotation of genomes, and RNA nanotechnology.
While at BGSU, I’ve been studying RNA three-dimensional motifs and developed an online database called RNA 3D Motif Atlas. I also developed WebFR3D, a web application for searching RNA 3D structures, and RNA 3D Hub, an online resource for RNA structural annotations.
Currently I am a Bioinformatician/Web Developer at the European Bioinformatics Institute in Cambridge, UK.
